Kerastase Initialiste Review

So I thought today I would do my review of the Kerastase Initialiste Serum.
Below is what the manufacturers claim this to do:

Our 1st hair and scalp serum to reveal hair that feels thicker, looks shinier and is more resistant to breakage.*
With INITIALISTE, revealing a more beautiful hair fibre is now possible.

 With Initialiste:
- HAIR FEELS THICKER
Hair thickness feels boosted and is lusciously soft
- HAIR LOOKS SHINIER
Hair has a lustrous-looking shine
- HAIR IS MORE RESISTANT
Hair is more resistant - up to 93% less breakage*
*Breakage to brushing. Instrumental test: classic shampoo and Initialiste vs. classic shampoo alone

INITIALISTE can be applied directly to the scalp after washing and towel drying the hair. Leave-in treatment: 2 pipettes for fine hair and 4 for normal to thick hair. After applying, delicately massage the serum with the tips of your fingers to evenly distribute the serum over the whole scalp.

A little bit of background on me and my hair (there's a lot of background but i will cover this at a later stage!) Since removing my hair extensions 3 months ago and thus ending a 10 year love affair with them, I have been on a quest to grow my natural hair (and repair it unfortunately)
It being in a pretty sorry state I did some research and came across Kerastase's Initailiste Serum.

I have been using this serum for just over a month and I have just bought my second bottle.

it comes at a pretty hefty price tag, most websites ranging between £30-32, I got mine from www.hqhair.co.uk.  However saying this i would say it is worth every penny!  Now when I say this obviously, with anything don't expect over night miracles.  it took at least 3 weeks for me to notice any major differences.

This product will definitely boost volume and I have noticed after the first couple of weeks my roots appear healthier and thicker, after the first month the rest of my hair is in the best condition it has ever been in.  I have also noticed new hairs growing which was my main aim of this serum (although i am also trialling other products which i do believe to be contributing to this also)

Overall I would highly recommend this serum in keeping your hair and scalp healthy and to promote new growth.  Its very easy to apply, however the instructions advise for fine hair 2 pipettes will be enough, however i do find myself using at least 3 to really massage it in all over my scalp so if you have thick hair you may have to use 4-5.

It smells delicious and expensive too, which is always a bonus :)

I have tried to show in the pictures below the difference over 1 month
(there are other products involved as said above, which I will review, there is also a little difference in hair colour)

Lunch Break Beauty Haul

Yesterdays lunch break beauty haul. As you can see I went a bit crazy with the 3 for £10 that is still on in Boots for the Loreal Fibrology, I got 3 of the thickness boosters as this is the most expensive and the smallest of the range.  I'm also excited to try out the new Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and Clarins Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel. I will be updating my opinions soon on each of the products.

Nicky.

And so it begins....

Hi,

So my first entry!

Thought I'd start by telling you a little bit about me.
My names Nicky and I come from a little town in the Midlands called Rugby.  I have grown up with a serious addiction to fashion and all things Topshop which later developed into a serious beauty addiction, which, if it was available, would leave me with a season ticket to Boots.

I'm starting this Blog as I want to share my experiences and finds with the rest of you, as I know how valuable an honest opinion can be.  Blogs are the first place I turn too when I want advise or suggestions on products or outfits!
Plus I spend far to much time and spend far to much money on this stuff to justify keeping it all to myself!  So all and any questions will be answered and are happily received.

I'm going to aim to update at least once a week, so be gentle with me and hopefully I'll get the hang of it and if you want to follow me the link to my Twitter is below :)
